In-depth Workshop on Scaling Up Ecosystem-based Adaptation in Coastal Areas

Online via Teams Meeting

-

How can ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) move beyond local pilot projects to achieve lasting, large-scale impact in coastal regions? This virtual workshop brings together experts from policy, science, and practice to explore pathways for scaling up EbA in sub- and tropical contexts. Focusing on community engagement, sustainable financing, and multi-level governance, the event will examine how to strengthen ownership, ensure continuity, and align local action with broader frameworks. Interactive discussions will offer space to share experiences, address key challenges, and identify practical approaches for expanding EbA effectively and sustainably.

Call for Contributions
Participants are invited to submit contributions on scaling up EbA, including case studies, innovative ideas, or policy- and practice-oriented recommendations. Selected contributions will be featured in short presentations of up to 10 minutes, followed by discussion.
